My story
My father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. When I started looking for clinical trials, I hit a wall - medical jargon everywhere, information scattered across registries, and no simple way to know what might actually be relevant to his situation.
So I built TrialLight. You describe your cancer situation in your own words, and it searches hundreds of actively recruiting trials in Australia to find the ones that might match, then explains each one clearly so you can talk to your doctor about your options.

How it works
- 1Describe your cancer diagnosis in your own words - cancer type, stage, treatments you've had, and anything else you think is relevant.
- 2We search ClinicalTrials.gov for actively recruiting cancer trials with sites in Australia that may relate to your situation.
- 3AI explains the results - summarising each trial and explaining why it might be relevant to you.
- 4Discuss with your doctor. Print or save the results and bring them to your next appointment. Only your medical team can confirm if a trial is right for you.
This tool uses AI to match and explain trials. AI can make mistakes - it may misinterpret eligibility criteria, miss important details, or present information in a misleading way. Every result links to the original listing on ClinicalTrials.gov so you and your doctor can verify the information.
Trial data comes from ClinicalTrials.gov, a database maintained by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, filtered for actively recruiting trials with at least one site in Australia.
